The Beginnings at Power Pig
In 1992, Bubba landed at Tampa’s infamous 93.3 The Power Pig, where his raw style fit perfectly with the station’s irreverent tone. Under the leadership of industry legends Randy Michaels and Marc Chase, Bubba quickly became one of the most talked-about young voices in radio. Michaels once said Bubba had a “rare instinct for connecting with listeners others couldn’t reach,” while Chase praised his ability to “own the room and the ratings.” It was here Bubba’s reputation as a fearless entertainer was born.
